UPB Walk and Roll to CURE SMA ~ September 30, 2017 at 11 am

Dear Friends and Family,
Please help the United Parish of Bowie raise money to find a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the number 1 genetic killer of infants. Our son, Kyle, is 13 years old and a strong Type 3. With the tremendous support we received at last year's UPB vs SMA fundraiser along with other fundraisers throughout the country over the years, the first drug, Spinraza, was approved by the FDA in December 2016. Thankfully our son has already received four treatments and he is scheduled to receive his fifth September 28th.
Spinraza works to stop the progression of this devastating disease and may potentially improve strength. This drug has been life changing for those with SMA, especially for those children with Type 1. However, this is not a cure and there is still work to do! Researchers are working to find more treatment options and eventually, a cure. Please help us! All funds raised at this event will go directly to Cure SMA. Any amount donated would be wonderful!
The United Parish of Bowie will be hosting a Walk and Roll to CURE SMA on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 am. Please bring your family and friends and join us for food, games, a bounce house, face painting, crafts and more!
We hope to see you on September 30th! (UPB 2515 Mitchellville Road Bowie, MD 20716)
Love,
Matt and Chrissie Bickel
