2017 Northern California Walk-n-Roll
Golden Gate Park
We are once again joining the Rock n Roll for CureSMA in Golden Gate Park to raise funds to support families and patients with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. It’s been almost 15 years since our son Sean passed away, and we have watched as many advancements have been made which help lessen the impact of SMA and have enabled many of our friend’s children to have longer lives. Please join us and support Cure SMA by making a contribution to our fundraising page.
Spinal muscular atrophy is the number one genetic cause of death for infants, and approximately 1 in every 50 individuals is a genetic carrier for SMA. Thanks to people like you, the SMA community has provided funding for scientific research that led to the first-ever approved treatment that targets the underlying genetics of SMA. But the work is not done. Research is underway to develop and deliver effective therapies that will continue to change the course of SMA for everyone affected—from infants to adults—and eventually lead to a cure.
Cure SMA has invested over $62 million to fund over half of the ongoing drug research and also provides support for families living with SMA, improving their quality of life today.
Making a donation to Cure SMA is easy and secure. Just click on the link and follow the steps!
Cure SMA will never sell or share your personal information. They will notify me that you have made a donation, so that I can properly thank you, unless you choose to make your donation anonymously.
Thank you again! Not only will your donation fund vital research and family support, it will also provide hope to the entire SMA community.
