2019 Pacific Northwest Walk-n-Roll

Team Blake

Our sweet Blake Avery Reid was diagnosed with SMA type 1 on March 9, 2016 at just shy of 6 months old. Prior to then, we had never heard of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. SMA is a disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, taking away the ability to walk, eat, or breathe. It is the number one genetic cause of death for infants.

Blake died on August 10, 2016 of respiratory failure due to complications from SMA. Please help us, in honor of Blake, to ensure that no more babies, children, and families have to suffer this way.

Your donation with continue to fund research, help families like ours and spread awareness to others.

Thank you,

The Reid Family and Team Blake
